Our Story
Established in 1989, Thai Sa-On has been known as one of the best Restaurants in the city. Sam Chanhao introduced delicious Thai Food to Calgarians long before Thailand was well known. He also wanted to make everyone feel like a Royal when dining at Thai Sa-On and his idea of serving Thai Food with Fine Wines had made Thai Sa-On become outstanding in the restaurant industry.
Pad Thai Restaurant
Was launched in 2016, in Mount Pleasant with the mission to be the best Thai Restaurant in the city. I, Patcharin Smith, and my sister, Pornuma Worasuksri feel that we need to bring not just the Imperial Thai Curries but Street Food that we love along with local Thai dishes that have never been served in the city before. Our signature Drunken Prawns, Chu Chi Basa, and Pandan Chicken are some of the dishes that keep people coming back. Pad Thai restaurant has been gaining popularity because it brings memories of Thailand.
Sam and I have been friends for over ten years. He likes my food and I like his wine. Our businesses share the same goal of being excellent in our field. With the world moving so fast and Sam retiring, we feel the honour to carry on the Legend of Thai Sa-On.
